Overview
We are looking for a Transmission O&M Engineer/Technician to join our Operations Department.
Reporting to the Network Services Admin, this role ensures the operation, maintenance, support, and troubleshooting of transport networks (SDH, DWDM, and advanced transport technologies).
The mission is to guarantee service continuity and quality for customers, while adhering to company policies.
Responsibilities

Perform operation and maintenance tasks on transport networks (SDH, DWDM, OTN, ROADM, etc.).

Diagnose, analyze, and troubleshoot network faults and associated services.

Handle Level 2 incidents, including RMA processes and escalation to vendors when necessary.

Implement, supervise, and ensure proper optical protection in networks (1+1, MSP, SNCP).

Manage and support customer circuits (E1, STM, GE, 10GE, 400GE, etc.).

Collaborate with technology vendors (Nokia, Infinera, ASN, Cisco) for incident resolution and network updates.

Participate in continuous improvement projects, network optimization, and technology upgrades.

Document and report maintenance activities, incidents, and applied solutions.
Job Requirements
Education:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
Professional Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years of experience in transport networks (SDH, DWDM, advanced photonic layer and service technologies).

Proven experience in support, troubleshooting, RMA handling, and vendor escalation (Level 2).

Hands-on experience with equipment and technologies from Nokia, Infinera, ASN, and Cisco.
Technical Knowledge:
-
Transport technologies: OTN, ROADM, optical protection (1+1, MSP, SNCP).

Customer circuit and service management: E1, STM, GE, 10GE, 400GE.

Networking fundamentals (switching & routing) and DCN management networks.
-
Knowledge of submarine cable systems is a plus.
