Nice<\/strong> \u2013\u00a0On 9 June 2025, Medusa Submarine Cable System had the privilege of participating in the Summit \u201cFor a More Connected Mediterranean\u201d, convened in Nice at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, on the sidelines of the third United Nations Ocean Conference<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This high-level gathering brought together Heads of State and Government from Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Libya, Malta, Morocco, Portugal, Tunisia, the European Union, as well as representatives from international organizations, development banks, and major companies.<\/p>\n

The summit highlighted the Mediterranean\u2019s vital role as a hub for global maritime traffic<\/strong> \u2014 accounting for 25% of worldwide sea trade \u2014 and as a cornerstone for commercial, energy, and digital exchanges.<\/p>\n
